There is really only one thing that has changed my life, and that is meeting the Lord. I've grown up in a Christian household, and my family has been the biggest blessing to me. My dad was the first one to talk to me about Christ, and I was so excited when I heard the good news! As I got older, things got harder. My friends started to really influence me, and I had to learn to choose my friends wisely. I have a pretty good friend group, and I'm glad God has blessed me with them. Through thick and thin, God has stuck with me, and I've seen how he is working in my life! He has always been my closest friend, and I love Him more and more each day!
Another defining moment in my life is when my parents told me I'm not allowed to date until I'm 16. At first I was mad, but I've come to love this rule. I realized I was idolizing finding a relationship, and I didn't really have any standards. This rule allows me to enjoy my singleness, and to really think about what I want out of a relationship. I've set up some standards, and I understand no ones perfect, but I'm not going to settle for a guy who doesn't match the majority of my standards. I need someone who loves affection, and will lead me close to the Lord.
Joining musicals has really helped shape who I am today. When I was in sixth grade I was a very timid person. It was my first show, and I was so excited to know that I got a solo! I made a lot of really good friends, and I still talk to them today. The musicals have really helped me break out of my shell, and now I dance in public, sing in Walmart, and just make a fool of myself everywhere I go. I feel more confident since I joined the musicals, and I'm going to keep participating in the musicals.
